If you are or will be in Bangkok during this month of February, there are four buzzworthy events that you can go to.
Don Quijote, a Japanese discount chain store, will open its first Thailand location in Bangkok on Friday, February 22nd. This location will be called Don Don Donki. It will take up two floors of an eight-story shopping mall. This tax-free store will offer a variety of goods, including clothing, electronics, and groceries. Also, you will find space to sit and relax at cafés and restaurants, located on the upper floors of the building. (from BK Magazine)
If you want to watch a movie that keeps you engaged and laughing, watch Friend Zone. This comedy, which released in theaters on February 14th, takes place in various locations throughout Thailand and Southeast Asia. Friend Zone shows us how a friendship-romance evolves between Gink (played by Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul) and Palm (played by Naphat “Nine” Siangsomboon). You’ll catch a beer bathtub scene between the two that seems clean, but nearly takes a laviscious turn. (from Time Out Bangkok)
If you want to revive your inner child or enjoy illustrations and other visual art, support local Thai artists like Aniu (@aniu_studio) at The Knack Market, which features live music, street food, and vintage goods from local Thai artists. (from The Knack Market’s Facebook Page)
Another way to support local businesses is through going to the Bangkok Farmers’ Market. At Gateway Ekamai, located southeast from The Yard, the Bangkok Farmers’ Market will feature food, crafts, live music, and home goods from local producers on February 23-February 24.
