More Than Partying: Travel in Bangkok (7+ DAYS)

In our previous article about travel Bangkok, we recommended the best things to do when in Bangkok, Thailand for three days or less! But what if you’re here for more days?! Where do you go and what activities do you try? Worry not, we’ve got an itinerary for you!

DAY 1 – TEMPLE DAY

Places To Visit:

  • Grand Palace
  • Wat Pho (home to the famous reclining Buddha)
  • Wat Arum (Templete of the Dawn)
  • Mini Temples around the city (We recommended you hire a tuktuk driver to take you around! There’s a lot of smaller Buddhist temples in the city!)

DAY 2 – SHOPPING DAY!

Places To Visit:

  • Chatuchak Weekend Market – Here you’ll find everything! I mean it, this place has everything you’ll ever want!
  • Chinatown – For cheap knockoffs and chinese food!
  • MBK Center – Cheap tech stuff including food and DVDs
  • Siam Paragon – Upscale Shopping
  • Siam Discovery – Average Shopping

DAY 3 – OUT OF THE CITY DAY!

Places To Visit:

  • Morning (Floating Market): Talin Chan
    • How to get there: Taxi is the easiest way but you can get on the BTS to Wongwian Yai Station then ride a taxi for about 17mn

Or

  • Morning : Ayutthaya Tour
    • How to get there: Trains leave Bangkok Hualamphong to Ayutthaya hourly and take about 80 minutes. Price: 190-270 baht.

DAY 4 – CULTURE DAY!

Places To Visit:

  • Bangkok Art and Culture Center
  • Bangkok Corrections Museum
  • National Museum

DAY 4 – FOOD TOUR

DAY 5: THEATER SHOWS DAY!

Options To See:

  • Calypso Ladyboy Show
    • Showtimes: Daily 8:15pm and 9:45pm. Ticket prices: from 900 baht.
  • Siam Niramit Show
    • Pre-show entertainment: 7:00pm-7:30pm
    • Theatre doors open at 7:30pm
    • Show starts at 8:00pm (duration: 80 mins without intermission)
  • Muay Thai Live: The Legend Lives
    • 8:00pm – 9:30pm Daily (closed Mondays)

Tip: For an entertainment-filled night, watch Muay Thai Live at 8:00pm, end at 9:30pm and head over to catch the 9:45pm Calypso Cabaret show at the same location! Then, watch Siam Niramit on a different night. 🙂

DAY 6: RELAXATION DAY

Activities To Try:

  • Thai Massage
  • Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise
  • Thai Cooking Lessons

DAY 7: FUN DAY!

Options To Try:

  • Safari World
  • Cartoon Network Water Park
  • Asiatique Ferris Wheel

DAY 8+: You’ll have all the time you need to try everything!
