Yesterday we celebrated Christmas Day at The Yard Hostel Bangkok! And it was beautiful, with barbecue and lucky draw gift.
Christmas may be about gathering and celebrating family, but the festivities don’t necessarily have to take place at home. A holiday vacation can strengthen the ties that bind, as well as open new horizons. That’s why you can spend a perfect Christmas Day whatever in the world, even in Thailand. Why not in Bangkok?
We at the The Yard Hostel Bangkok family enjoyed welcoming guests as if they were part of it. So yesterday we had a Christmas celebration where everyone felt they were really family, united and celebrating this important day.
For the special dinner, we cooked a traditional Thai BBQ which was a delight! If you don’t know, Thai BBQ is very similar to shabu-shabu, a Japanese nabemono hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water. Then we have a lot of food, drink, laughter and good music, because we have musicians in our family The Yard Hostel Bangkok.
Then we had the lucky draw gifts. The rule was bring an item that cost you nothing, but it was valuable. This priceless item was the gift for another person. No gift wrap, no money spent, but special. Everyone participated and was one of the funniest moments of our Christmas celebration. It definitely was the highlight of our Christmas day at The Yard Hostel Bangkok.
Yesterday was also the day our team shared tips year-round. One of the happiest moments of the night. Thank you so much to all our guests who have helped to make this day even happier.
